A Simple Guide To The Boosting Feature

 Do you feel like you don't even know where to start? Does it feel like it might be a little overwhelming? Well, I felt like that too. Let's just break it down into a few simple steps to get you started. 

What is boosting? Boosting simply means you are funding other users ads when their daily budget runs out. The purpose of Boosting is to earn money and fund ads.  

How do we earn from Boosting?  As I mentioned above we earn from boosting because we fund other users ads. When a user clicks on an ad we earn when they spend time enjoying the post. So, if we are funding that ad with our 'Boost' money we will earn a profit even if we did not create the content.  

What do I do first?

  I suggest that from this point forward you make an ad for every post that you have created. 

Why? Well, because this gives you more of a chance for someone to boost your ads.

Should I Boost? Why? Why not? FanBox has created another feature for us to be able to make money. Why not give it a try. You have nothing to lose and you will earn!

I am ready to Boost where do I go?

So, your ready to put your money to work. Yes, you have to have money to boost, but the good news is you can start with just $1.00. If you don't have any matured earnings yet in your bank you can always top-up or use your IPL money. I did this in the beginning (topped up) to give me a little boost (no pun intended :P), so I could put my money to work. The minimum for PayPal is $1, so it was not much to part with and you get it back once it matures, so there is NOTHING to loose.

If you are a new user you have probably noticed that you already have a boost set up for you.  The system will automatically create an 'auto boost' for you and will only boost about 5% of the total amount daily. You can make changes to your portfolio at anytime...just go to your boost tab. This allows you to actually see how it works right away and how you earn just from boosting.

Go to your dashboard then select the Boost tab. At the bottom of the page select the create a portfolio tab.

This is the box that will come up after you select you want to create a portfolio...now you need to begin to enter your selections.

Do you see the little tab on the right side? It is an i with a circle around it...click this if you want more information about that field. Very helpful.

1. Create a portfolio name (for your benefit only)

2. Enter the amount you want to invest. (start small if you are uncertain)

3. How much do you want in return?

         -You can leave this up to FanBox -or-

          -You can put in a minimum return amount if you want to ensure you

           get a certain amount back.

Next Step What do you want to boost? Below is the next screen that will come up.

If you want FanBox to choose what you invest in then select the simple. If you select simple then you are done!

                          

Notice the box checked below which says "Automatically re-Boost returns from this portfolio using the same settings." After your funds are utilized by the boost then it needs to mature. Once it matures if you have this box checked your initial investment plus your earnings will automatically  re-Boost.  You don't even have to think about it!

If you would like to choose what you want to invest in then select the advanced option.  This option is broken down into two categories:

1. People 

2. Knowledge Area

 To enter your selections for either category simply click on expand on the right side and you will open up the page and be able to see all of your  options. 

 This is what the screen will look like when you select expand. To select something to invest in just click the green circle with the + in it.

Once you have selected what you want to invest in you are done! When you go back to the Boost page in your dashboard and scroll down you will see your portfolio created at the bottom of the page including:

The name you gave it

How much you invested

If your funds were utilized

A performance graph much like the one we use to check our ad performance.

Once the funds are utilized your portfolio is done! We have the option to reinvest our money once it matures or modify our selections using the same portfolio. 

I wanted to provide a simple guide showing you what the steps are to create your portfolio. I think the best way to learn something is to give it a try.  I have already created several portfolios and find this new feature very exciting!  This is another way for us to earn money on FanBox!  Hope you found this helpful!
